THE PROBLEM
Good shoes for little feet shouldn’t be this hard to find.
Most conventional shoes get something wrong. Foam clogs are tripping hazards. Stiff sneakers squeeze growing toes. Flip-flops are flimsy. Chunky sandals feel like overkill. And premium barefoot brands are expensive.
You just want a shoe that stays on, feels good, and lets little feet move the way they’re supposed to. That’s exactly what I set out to build, starting with my own sons’ feet.

THE STORY
I built the shoe I couldn’t find.
I’m Kim, a Vancouver mom of two adventurous young boys who love to explore. Tidal pools, forests, streams, playgrounds, trails. If there’s something to climb, splash, or run through, they’re in it.
I kept buying the shoes everyone recommended, only to run into the same problems. Stiff shoes, overly cushioned soles, and squished toes.
I wanted something flexible and built to handle whatever they got into. A shoe that let their feet move naturally, could take a beating, and didn’t cost a fortune for something they’d outgrow in a few months.
So I started Rilly.
